چکیده

Non-contact cardio signal monitoring is a requisite for premature infants, as adhesive sensors and electrodes such that an electrocardiogram can damage the epidermis. Many types of research on infants in newborn intensive care unit (NICU) are still their early stages with many challenges. Therefore, this study aims to use digital camera non-contact photoplethysmography imaging method measure compare heart rate from two experiments (without/with ultraviolet rays (UV)) inside unit. The UV) yielded promising results comparison reference measurements obtained ten infants. reveal robust correlation using pearson coefficients (PCC) 0.99 (for without 0.96 UV). Also, spearman coefficient (SCC) test 0.97 0.95 experiments, respectively Bland–Altman analysis revealed strong relationship between measured readings UV. experimental low error mean absolute (MAE), root squared (RMSE). work presents new aspect monitoring, showing performance upcoming medical applications.

Non-contact video based estimation for heart rate variability using ambient light by extracting hemoglobin information

In this paper, we propose the method of heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV) spectrogram estimation by analyzing extracted hemoglobin concentration from facial color images. Our method does not require any special camera. In addition, stable presumption is possible even under the ambient light sources. As a result, we could get HR around 99% accuracy and could get HRV spectrogram wi...

Non-contact, synchronous dynamic measurement of respiratory rate and heart rate based on dual sensitive regions

BACKGROUND Currently, many imaging photoplethysmography (IPPG) researches have reported non-contact measurements of physiological parameters, such as heart rate (HR), respiratory rate (RR), etc. However, it is accepted that only HR measurement has been mature for applications, and other estimations are relatively incapable for reliable applications. Thus, it is worth keeping on persistent studi...

Heart rate variability estimation in photoplethysmography signals using Bayesian learning approach

Heart rate variability (HRV) has become a marker for various health and disease conditions. Photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors integrated in wearable devices such as smart watches and phones are widely used to measure heart activities. HRV requires accurate estimation of time interval between consecutive peaks in the PPG signal. However, PPG signal is very sensitive to motion artefact which may...

Heart Rate Detection from Photoplethysmography- A Comparative Study

Photoplethysmography is a simple way for heart rate detection. However due to low level of detected signal, easily prone to motion artifacts and noise. In this paper DWT method is used to reduce the effect of noise, thereby calculate the heart rate. A comparative study of detecting heart rate using different mother wavelet is also discussed. Keywords— Heart beats, ECG, Photoplethysmography, Pea...

Using photoplethysmography in heart rate monitoring of patients with epilepsy.

Heart rate is a useful neurophysiological sign when monitoring seizures in patients with epilepsy. In an ambulatory setting, heart rate is measured with ECG involving electrodes on the skin. This method is uncomfortable which is burdensome for patients and is sensitive to motion artifacts, which decrease the usability of measurements. In this study, green light photoplethysmography, an optical ...
